Maria Maher, LCSW, CASAC

Marie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor. She received her Masters Degree in Social Work from University of Albany. Her work style is an energetic and creative approach to helping people resolve difficult concerns.

She has over twelve years of mental health experience, she has worked intensively with children and adolescents as well. She will work collaboratively with families, schools and medical professionals to assist in helping clients overcome emotional and behavioral problems. Through her expertise in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, she helps to bridge rational and emotional concerns. Marie believes that sharing faith and hope is a powerful step in improving community, be it family or the world at large. She is dedicated to lifelong learning and has a keen interest in the unique strengths of each individual and their potential to grow when faced with crisis. Marie is also a trained EMDR therapist.
