Robert B. Slater, LCSW-R
Robert B. Slater, LCSW-R is a graduate of Marywood University in Scranton, PA., where he was a member of the Alpha Lambda National Honor Society. He founded Copeland Avenue Associates in 2004 after providing therapy in residential programs, school settings and privately for over a decade.
After working in these different settings, he came to realize the importance of atmosphere in the comfort level of his clients. He desired to create a professional and warm environment where individuals, couples and families could come to address issues that interfere with their quality of life.
Robert works with individuals, couples, and families. His focus areas are adolescents and adults and he has received advanced training in work with traumatic stress, depression, anxiety, and dissociative disorders.
He is a member of several professional organizations, the National Association of Social Workers, International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing International Association (EMDRIA). Robert is on the ISST-D Committee for Information Dissemination. He is also certified by EMDRIA as an EMDR therapist.
